A year and a half after the events of the original sci-fi psychological thriller, Akane Tsunemori continues her work as an inspector—enforcing the Sibyl System’s judgments. Joining her are new enforcers and junior inspector Mika Shimotsuki, a young woman blindly and inflexible loyal to Sibyl. As Akane ponders both the nature of her job and the legitimacy of Sibyl’s verdicts, a disturbing new menace emerges.

A mysterious figure has discovered a way to control the Crime Coefficient—a number compiled from mental scans that allows Sibyl to gauge psychological health and identify potential criminals. Through these means, he is able to murder an enforcer, leaving behind a cryptic clue: “WC?” scrawled in blood on a wall.

Akane and the rest of Division 1 soon find themselves playing a deadly game against their new foe, coming face-to-face with a conspiracy threatening not only the authority of the Sibyl System, but the very foundation of Akane’s own convictions.

The second season of this anime aired in 2014 and I watched this anime in 2015 I think? As it was on Netflix and I was bored. I watched it and got hooked I loved and enjoyed the first season. I found out there was a second season and I watched it so here is what I thought about it.

I rather like this anime, but when the first season ended it left quite a few things unfinished. Some of it was explained in the second season yet not all things were cleared up. Honestly, the second season was mediocre and I feel as if this second season had a lot of plot holes. I just can’t compare it to the first which was rather good in my opinion.

When an anime first comes out it’s hard for a second season to come out and be just as good as the first. I would love more than anything to happen which in some cases we are lucky and the 2nd season is as good as the first. Well, I give this anime a mediocre recommendation as it might not be as good as the first. Just a small warning if you plan to jump into this series. There may be some plot holes in the second season.

Although I could be completely wrong here and I will let you be the judge and see what you think of the second season. After you watch the first season if you do watch it that is. Alright until next time keep reading manga and watching anime. Remember to stay cool my friends, au revoir for now.

  1. I loved the first season of Psycho Pass, but have heard that this second season was not as enjoyable as the first one. I have yet to see it, but I will keep an open mind for it. Great review though 😊

    1. Same here! That was what I was hoping for when I went into the second season. It’s good to keep an open mind. I only finished it cause it was part of series and when I start one I plan to finish it even if I don’t like it all that much. At least I can say that I finished it. Thank you ^^

  2. I still haven’t watched the second season. Hearing about some of the plot issues when it was airing, I just keep putting it off. Honestly, I loved the original and anything that might detract from that is not something I’m keen on viewing. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

    1. There were so many plot holes as I said I finished it because it was apart of a series and also out of respect for the first season. If you really liked the first season then I would say not to watch the second season. Pretend like it doesn’t exist but it’s up to you

      1. Yes it is, ever since I was a little kid I would always be writing something whether it was a story or poems. A few years ago I got into watching anime. Just this year I was like why not start a blog and do reviews on all the anime’s I have seen through the years. Yet I am also interested in giving reviews on other things such as movies or TV’s shows and or even books. Might open a section on my blog for those things to
