PSYCHO-PASS 2

A year and a half after the events of the original sci-fi psychological thriller, Akane Tsunemori continues her work as an inspector—enforcing the Sibyl System’s judgments. Joining her are new enforcers and junior inspector Mika Shimotsuki, a young woman blindly and inflexible loyal to Sibyl. As Akane ponders both the nature of her job and the legitimacy of Sibyl’s verdicts, a disturbing new menace emerges.

A mysterious figure has discovered a way to control the Crime Coefficient—a number compiled from mental scans that allows Sibyl to gauge psychological health and identify potential criminals. Through these means, he is able to murder an enforcer, leaving behind a cryptic clue: “WC?” scrawled in blood on a wall.

Akane and the rest of Division 1 soon find themselves playing a deadly game against their new foe, coming face-to-face with a conspiracy threatening not only the authority of the Sibyl System, but the very foundation of Akane’s own convictions.

The second season of this anime aired in 2014 and I watched this anime in 2015 I think? As it was on Netflix and I was bored. I watched it and got hooked I loved and enjoyed the first season. I found out there was a second season and I watched it so here is what I thought about it.

I rather like this anime, but when the first season ended it left quite a few things unfinished. Some of it was explained in the second season yet not all things were cleared up. Honestly, the second season was mediocre and I feel as if this second season had a lot of plot holes. I just can’t compare it to the first which was rather good in my opinion.

When an anime first comes out it’s hard for a second season to come out and be just as good as the first. I would love more than anything to happen which in some cases we are lucky and the 2nd season is as good as the first. Well, I give this anime a mediocre recommendation as it might not be as good as the first. Just a small warning if you plan to jump into this series. There may be some plot holes in the second season.

Although I could be completely wrong here and I will let you be the judge and see what you think of the second season. After you watch the first season if you do watch it that is. Alright until next time keep reading manga and watching anime. Remember to stay cool my friends, au revoir for now.

PSYCHO-PASS (Review)

Justice and the enforcement of it have changed. In the 22nd century, Japan enforces the Sibyl System, an objective means of determining the threat level of each citizen by examining their mental state for signs of criminal intent, known as their Psycho-Pass. Inspectors uphold the law by subjugating, often with lethal force, anyone harboring the slightest ill-will; alongside them are Enforcers, jaded Inspectors that have become latent criminals, granted relative freedom in exchange for carrying out the Inspectors’ dirty work.

Into this world steps Akane Tsunemori, a young woman with an honest desire to uphold justice. However, as she works alongside veteran Enforcer Shinya Kougami, she soon learns that the Sibyl System’s judgments are not as perfect as her fellow Inspectors assume. With everything she has known turned on its head, Akane wrestles with the question of what justice truly is, and whether it can be upheld through the use of a system that may already be corrupt.

Honestly, I don’t know what drew me to watch this show in the first place. I am guessing that I thought this anime looked like it was going to be good. Let me say it was and as weird as it was I can see this possibly happening in the future. We will all be controlled by robots and machine. Okay maybe I am exaggerating too much, but you never know right?

This anime was definetly an interesting one and it was really good. I give this anime a high recommendation as it was good. There is a lot of action so it’s a good fit for those who like action. Also if you like police anime’s then this would be a good one to watch. So supposedly there is going to be a third season of this anime. Whether that is true or not we will find out. Until next time keep reading manga and watching anime. Remember to stay cool my friends and au revoir for now.

Gangsta.

I absolutely loved this anime. It was so good and quite interesting to say the least. This anime is still quite new and popular. Well at least that’s what I think anyways.

The series revolves around two “Handymen” who take on jobs for both the mob and the police force that no one else can handle. The two, named Worick Arcangelo and Nicolas Brown, work in the town of Ergastulum, which is full of mafia, hoodlums, prostitutes, and dirty cops.

This anime first aired in 2015. I have heard from a reliable source that the company who was doing the anime went bankrupt. So it is hard to say if this anime will be ever be continued again. The studio that did this anime also did a few other animes that I know of, but haven’t seen. There is one that I will never watch and it’s called Samurai Flamenco. I am sorry, but its to similar to The Power Rangers. I am not even joking about this. Again I am sorry, but we all have limits to what we can and can’t watch.

Back to this review. As the plot says it’s based on two guys who are “Handymen” and they do odd jobs that no one else will do. Nicolas or better known as Nic is a “Twilight” a person who has superhuman abilities. The catch is though that he can only gain those powers by taking drugs. In Ergastulum there are more “Twilights” just like our main character Nic, but some people look down upon “Twilights”.

Before some laws were put into place many “Twilights” were treated like garbage and slaves. Some were even mercilessly killed simply, because they were “Twilights”. Also Nic is deaf. What? Yeah he’s actually death, but he can read lips really well. He also learned sign language and Worick was his teacher.

Worick, where ever should I start with him? So he and Nic met when they were very young. At the time he didn’t quite understand what a “Twilight” was. His father had him assigned a bodyguard. That’s when Nic enters the picture. Worick then befriends Nic, but things weren’t always easy. Worick’s father was extremely abusive to him.

One time Nic saw Worick’s father stab Worick in the eye with a cigarette, causing him to lose that eye permanently. Which is why he now wears an eye patch over his one eye. At the age of 13, Worick then became a gigolo and has been one ever since. He also has a special ability known as Hyperthymesia.

On the day his father stabbed him in the eye with the cigarette he had Nic kill his father as an order. Worick had finally broke and he also had the rest of his family killed. As he was Nic’s master. After that he disappeared from there and started living in Ergastulum, but with a different name. Now Worick and Nic are not master and slave, but rather best friends. In the first episode they are contacted by the police who have a job for them. They then take out a group who was causing trouble.

Then that’s when Alex one of other main character’s enters the story. She is a prostitute who was working with the group that the Handymen took out. The police had told them that they could keep anything they wanted. So they asked to keep her, and there was also a rumor that the boss of the group who had been taken out. I guess he kept her drugged so she would work. I found that rather sad. I will now leave things here.

So please go and watch this anime I really enjoyed it and also loved it a lot. I give this anime a high recommendation as it was that good. Also I am sure that you can find this anime just about anywhere. As it is still new well kind of lol. Another thing is that this anime also has a manga which is just as good.

The anime sticks very close to the anime so if you want to know what happens after the anime ends. Well just read the manga and you will get your answers. Until my next blog post keep reading manga, and watching anime. Stay cool guys and girls.
